In math, third graders are learning to classify two-dimensional shapes. Students will learn about different types of angles and lines. We continue to practice problem solving strategies as we revisit the skills we have been learning all year long.  In social studies we are wrapping up our unit on Cultures Around the World. We will celebrate the end of our unit by learning traditional dances of different cultures we have studied throughout the year. In reading and writing we are crafting our own opinion pieces. Students are excited to use the art of persuasion in their writing. Spring is shaping up to be very busy in third grade!
