Third graders have been strengthening their fraction skills, and will now begin a unit on measurement where they will work on telling time, determining elapsed time, measuring liquid volume, and measuring mass.  In reading and writing we have begun a study of traditional tales from around the world.  While reading variations of Cinderella stories, we are comparing and contrasting story elements within these stories and developing strong opinion writing about these stories as well.  In social studies, we are learning about economies around the world. Third graders have been eagerly awaiting Enterprise day, in which they will be creating their own products and advertisements and then have the opportunity to sell to other classmates! We are so excited to see the products they create!
