In math, fifth graders continue to work with fractions as we move on from multiplying to dividing fractions and mixed numbers. In social studies, we are learning about the Constitution and the important people who helped design our country’s democracy. During science, we are focused on the changing states of matter. Fifth grade enjoyed completing Gordon Korman’s fabulous Everest series, as we followed the story of young climbers reaching the summit of Mt. Everest! We were excited to then create our very own survival adventure stories, complete with our creatively designed novel covers!
