Fifth graders are working on multiplying decimals. In this unit students will also be estimating and using models to solve decimal multiplication problems. In ELA, we are starting our new class novel “Hatchet”. We are using this novel and our prior knowledge of our last science unit to create a research project on a specific ecosystem. In social studies we are learning all about the creation of our country, focusing on the thirteen colonies and the early explorers.
