Second graders are busy getting into the holiday spirit! Students wrote persuasive letters to the North Pole, requesting a classroom elf. We have begun our new ARC unit on bugs, and both teachers and students are excited to read and write about insects. In math, second graders are finishing up subtraction strategies to 100. Next, students will continue to practice subtraction using place value (stacking... yay!). In science, we are studying how plants and animals rely on one another for survival.
